This collection of images was made in Paris and the Loire Valley during the European winter of 2008. Conceptually, the images represent my personal and intimate vision of a few much-photographed iconic scenes. I wished to convey their beauty, the cold of the winter and record, for my own posterity, a wonderful trip to the romantic capital of the world, which commenced on Valentine’s Day 2008. Most of the images were post-processed to accentuate the misty, cold atmosphere at the time and partially desaturated to portray the washed-out appearance of the landscape in the overcast depths of winter.
